Oct 21 Founded 10 years ago, $9B valuation, will only start worrying about sales tax next month. The European mind cannot comprehend. https://t.co/WpbeIZNC4f 3.5k 98 85 450.7k 151 .
Oct 20 Today I am grateful that I have overused em dashes in my own writing for over 10 years. Because now when I use ChatGPT to write something for the team, they may suspect it, but they can never know for sure. 446 4 30 30.2k 207 .
Oct 20 $1000 to anyone who can implement and get a PR merged to @zeddotdev that lets you bind an arbitrary Vim motion to a keyboard shortcut, without having to be in Vim mode. For example, bind `cmd+'` to `viq` so I can select between quotes without Vim mode. 231 5 15 45.7k 253 .

Oct 19 If you're building a new product, make sure you can name a real human being who you think would be a customer. Not a persona, a person. It sounds so extremely obvious but it's so easy to get lost in the details of a "good idea" and stop evaluating it against this basic test. 576 29 51 39.6k 277 .

Oct 12 Sonnet 4.5 one-shotted this refactoring by the way, which actually blows my mind. The number of jokes I've wanted to make but bailed on because of the effort involved trends toward zero as our almighty AI overlords get stronger. 195 0 2 26.5k 229 .

Sep 19 I'm so excited about what @paper is building, so we're joining their journey as investors and partners to do whatever we can to help make Paper the absolute best design tool in the world for modern web teams. A free-form design tool built around the DOM has so much potential to completely change the way we go from design to code. Imagine designing something in Paper, then just being able to right-click and copy as perfect HTML + Tailwind. Or taking an existing code component and importing it into Paper to edit as if it were a Figma file. I think a few years from now we'll laugh about the hand-off process we put up with today, and I'm excited to support the @paper team as they completely reimagine how we design and deliver UIs for the web 🚀 2.1k 114 111 392.4k 753 .

Sep 02 ✨ Today's fun AI experience — I need to manage a ton of snippets for these course videos I'm recording and the normal snippet format is hell. So I had Claude write a script that turns a markdown-based snippet file into VS Code's format, and I just regenerate when I make changes. Would've had a hard time justifying building this by hand (would feel like procrastination) but the robot did it in 2 minutes and now it's saving me tons of time. 156 4 7 21.3k 444 .

Aug 30 Claude Code isn’t just for coding, it’s for any AI question or task that would benefit from being able to run commands on your machine. The other day I used it to troubleshoot a local network issue, and it crushed it because it could run all sorts of commands I’ve never heard of and inspect the output, then run some more. It’s made me extremely bullish on the CLI in general — so much better for AI than trying to point and click around graphical interfaces. 657 27 76 80.3k 462 .
