Jan 04 Tried out Claude in the cloud today for the first time and threw it a straightforward, tedious job that would’ve probably taken me at least an hour. Fairly confident this initial solution is perfect, did it in 5 minutes in the background using just the initial prompt: https://t.co/yccu35QhXW 219 4 13 34.3k 294 .
Jan 03 Exactly how I’m starting to feel. Any time I have to type precise syntax by hand now feels like such a tedious chore, and (surprisingly and thankfully) programming is still fun, probably more fun. My biggest problem now is coming up with enough worthwhile ideas to fully leverage the productivity boost. 424 14 38 34.6k 304 .
Jan 01 Trying to revisit every idea we’ve said “no” to in the past in case it makes sense to say “yes” now with the help of AI… Is there anything you’ve built that’s been game changing for your business that was just impossible to justify pre-AI? 199 0 42 36.6k 240 .
Dec 25 Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄 https://t.co/aP3IZagMKB 684 6 36 29.4k 46 .
Dec 19 Really proud to add @cursor_ai as a Tailwind CSS Partner 🤝🏻 I'm constantly impressed by the work they are shipping and excited about ways we can help make building with Tailwind in Cursor an even better experience going forward ✨ https://t.co/lK77SLIo9h 1.6k 42 38 82.8k 254 .

Dec 16 Million dollar idea — a Chrome fork but when you resize the window as small as possible it stops at 375px instead of 500px. 826 6 64 68.8k 123 .
Dec 12 Cloudy spot appeared on my Pro Display XDR today, so an updated model release must be imminent! 😄 https://t.co/iWp0xZLHXQ 182 1 11 32.1k 121 .
Dec 06 With the existence of Inertia.js, I really think you've got to be a masochist to try and build delightful, interactive apps without using a framework designed for UI to build the UI. It's just such an uphill battle otherwise, and I don't understand why you'd do it. 224 5 18 47k 266 .
Dec 05 If you’ve never bumped into any of these people, try really really hard to build an accessible UI library and post about it online. 467 6 15 82.1k 131 .
Dec 02 I think most people would be surprised to see how much pairing/live collaboration we do here! https://t.co/JhivzMG79b 172 2 13 31.2k 117 .
Dec 02 🎧 More morning walk thoughts — what we're working on now, and what I think I'm going to work on next. https://t.co/TywaVbhm8J 125 0 24 36k 125 .
Nov 27 Trying to build a logo section that accepts n logos and automatically always looks good... Would do a lot of horrible things for `flex-wrap: balance` to exist 🥲 https://t.co/shSYV3BqOQ 477 4 30 56.8k 185 .
Nov 26 🛍️ We're running a big Black Friday promotion on Tailwind Plus and Refactoring UI this week! Get over 20% off Tailwind Plus and Refactoring UI, and over 33% off if you buy them together as a bundle 💰 Just for Black Friday, we're also throwing in our internal https://t.co/1apUk7FiTn file we use for building things with Tailwind, and a set of custom designed VS Code themes 💅🏻 124 15 10 46.1k 378 .
Nov 22 For those that don't have the patience to figure out how the hell to even give Google money to play around with Nano Banana Pro in AI Studio (🙋🏻‍♂️), OpenRouter's chat is great. https://t.co/bwTB6lEaoG 289 7 11 51.6k 202 .
Nov 21 🎧 Trying a new podcast idea — just me by myself talking about what I'm wrestling with, while walking my dog in the morning. No production value — just raw, transparent thoughts. Curious what you think and if you find it interesting! https://t.co/rOPGUO7A2L 573 13 87 43.1k 258 .
Nov 20 Building this internal tool for generating our own unique placeholder avatars with Gemini. Super fun thing to hack on. Curated style prompts + people descriptions, and if it generates one I don't like I just click the square and it tries again. Very quick to curate a great custom set. 279 5 21 29.1k 286 .

Nov 16 That magical couple of months where your toddler starts trying to put together real sentences is so sweet. “My… balloon… not… in… mummy’s… room!” 🥹 Kids are so unbelievably hard but just the best too ❤️ 455 2 22 29.4k 204 .
Nov 15 Coke Zero is a gateway drug. Be careful out there, don’t be like me. https://t.co/nBfADebPnG 356 3 74 49.2k 92 .
Nov 14 The "Color Highlight" extension for VS Code is a nice alternative to the standard color decorators, just colors the background instead of shifting content around 👌🏻 https://t.co/lDxdOvD4Xh https://t.co/v2tzCvglnu 524 19 17 41.7k 213 .
Nov 13 Anyone using `gap` exclusively these days, and never using margins (except for negative margins/overlapping stuff)? I've resisted it because it often introduces extra elements, but curious if anyone has found any surprising benefits. 476 3 183 78.3k 234 .

Oct 21 (It's good that America is this way to be clear — it's important that it's easy to start new companies and to feel like you're doing it somewhere where the government wants you to succeed and will cut you some slack.) 428 1 9 35.8k 217 .
Oct 20 Today I am grateful that I have overused em dashes in my own writing for over 10 years. Because now when I use ChatGPT to write something for the team, they may suspect it, but they can never know for sure. 446 4 30 30.2k 207 .
Oct 20 $1000 to anyone who can implement and get a PR merged to @zeddotdev that lets you bind an arbitrary Vim motion to a keyboard shortcut, without having to be in Vim mode. For example, bind `cmd+'` to `viq` so I can select between quotes without Vim mode. 231 5 15 45.7k 253 .
Oct 19 If you're building a new product, make sure you can name a real human being who you think would be a customer. Not a persona, a person. It sounds so extremely obvious but it's so easy to get lost in the details of a "good idea" and stop evaluating it against this basic test. 576 29 51 39.6k 277 .
Oct 18 Tailwind is about to get nanoseconds faster thanks to your boy @malfaitrobin 🏎️💨 You won’t notice it but at least in your heart you’ll know it’s there. https://t.co/juohg8dOow 806 21 19 64.2k 176 .

Oct 12 Sonnet 4.5 one-shotted this refactoring by the way, which actually blows my mind. The number of jokes I've wanted to make but bailed on because of the effort involved trends toward zero as our almighty AI overlords get stronger. 195 0 2 26.5k 229 .
Oct 12 Huge thanks to @tobi and the team at Shopify for sponsoring Tailwind CSS 🙏🏻 As someone whose life was totally changed by entrepreneurship, I'm extremely passionate about their mission. Oct 01 The AI effect is wild — this is traffic to https://t.co/VOnSF2aVSX compared with monthly downloads of the tailwindcss package. Interesting times navigating this and figuring out what to do with it for sure! https://t.co/qWwXtnBdIE 600 18 71 66.7k 231 .
Sep 29 Number of people replying to this who are just now learning that “teams” is a real word and not just the name of a Microsoft collaboration tool is wild 🤯 236 5 30 46.4k 153 .
Sep 29 Out of the top 10 websites on the entire internet, two of them (ChatGPT and Reddit) are built with Tailwind CSS. Pretty wild because it's a fairly young technology in "biggest websites on the internet" terms! 647 8 40 46k 209 .
Sep 28 YouTube is such a treasure trove. Found this bootleg of the first concert I ever went to as a kid, Pantera in 2001 when I was 14 years old. https://t.co/auTp8NkbBx 68 0 10 36.8k 164 .

Sep 24 We whipped up this little minimalistic responsive site previewer just for screencasting purposes ✨ Originally built it as a VS Code extension, but now that I've moved over to @zeddotdev I extracted it into a simple web app I can pull up in split-screen mode 👍🏻 https://t.co/AUQT2vcm0J 243 8 17 38.7k 285 .

Sep 20 Pro tip: Add every bad word iOS annoyingly autocorrects for you to your text replacements, and not only will it stop autocorrecting them to the wrong word, it’ll start suggesting them when you make a mistake 🖕🏻 https://t.co/uWuvergpYi 373 6 25 43.4k 234 .
Sep 18 Expecting Claude to use the same padding value as the Figma artboard I'm pointing it at is asking way too much though. 432 11 20 62.4k 118 .
Sep 18 What's the actual difference between an MCP server and a regular old CLI program with a `--help` flag? Feels to me like a CLI program written with agents in mind solves the same problems without inventing anything new? 689 14 115 94.3k 218 .
Sep 13 I cannot for the life of me take a single picture of this place that does it justice. I can’t even explain how much more awe-inspiring this is in person. Such a cool part of the world. https://t.co/M7p6DDPl0k 193 1 23 32.5k 209 .

Sep 02 Ironically I think that countries with the strongest employee protections will be impacted the most by AI, because the incentives for employers are so much stronger. Especially at smaller companies. 149 2 22 26.4k 198 .

Aug 30 It really does sound a lot more satisfying doesn't it? 😬 https://t.co/YM4KDhMQxI 409 9 49 76.7k 80 .
Aug 30 Claude Code isn’t just for coding, it’s for any AI question or task that would benefit from being able to run commands on your machine. The other day I used it to troubleshoot a local network issue, and it crushed it because it could run all sorts of commands I’ve never heard of and inspect the output, then run some more. It’s made me extremely bullish on the CLI in general — so much better for AI than trying to point and click around graphical interfaces. 657 27 76 80.3k 462 .
Aug 30 Fuck me I think I have a mechanical keyboard hobby now. 430 3 55 45k 55 .

Aug 19 🪄 Here's a quick demo of something I just used the new Notion Agent stuff for… Not performing miracles, just saving me a bunch of time doing tedious crap, and I love it. https://t.co/OW3iPipqNN 245 15 15 33.7k 194 .
Aug 19 Got flagged into this this week and it is awesome. I'm bear-ish on "every app should just be a text field" but extremely bull-ish on "every app absolutely needs a text field". 123 9 5 28.7k 175 .
Aug 15 Alright let’s go! (Forgive the amount of dust on this ancient monitor I had to dig out of the basement 😆) https://t.co/CGcRE6jBCX 962 15 57 87.6k 130 .
Aug 14 Pumped to add @base_ui to our list of awesome Tailwind CSS partners 🤝🏻 Always a joy to follow along with what people are building in this space, and the Base UI team have exceptionally good taste and high standards. https://t.co/vXaNeOGFJz 334 13 16 42.1k 240 .
Aug 13 Getting the studio lighting and cameras set up again 🎬 Needs a bit more massaging and have to hang a few frames on the wall to fill out the scene, but happy with how convincing our fake window lighting turned out! https://t.co/79QvZjWjsL 247 2 24 27.9k 238 .
Aug 12 Celebrating @malfaitrobin's 5 year anniversary at Tailwind this week — pretty crazy! 🤯 Makes me feel good that someone as talented as him would want to stick around here for so long, must be doing something right ❤️ 311 1 14 38.4k 216 .

Aug 08 Put together this little demo for the introduction module in this new "Tailwind CSS by Example" course I'm working on. Succinctly covers all of the fundamental elements of building things with Tailwind in one example 👍 Excited to get back in the studio and hit record 🎬 https://t.co/4BZbmRQyQn 536 20 7 29.2k 295 .
Aug 07 Wait until you find out we made the very first version of Tailwind UI just ugly enough on purpose knowing all of the AIs would be trained on it, so that when we release our AI tool all of the UIs it generates look 500x better than everything else 🧠 1.2k 20 54 76.7k 248 .
Aug 06 The best way to learn to code with AI isn’t to try and “one shot” things. Start by micromanaging things at the tiniest level, asking it to do very specific tasks. It’s way easier to get a knack for how to get good results, and you can slowly go up in abstraction from there. 563 43 26 88.3k 275 .
Aug 05 Love this new @elevenlabsio music landing page 🔥 Especially love that noise is making a comeback in UI design, really nice way to cut out the staleness/flatness we've seen in everything for the last 10 years. (Built with Tailwind CSS naturally 💅🏻) https://t.co/f9XynL8Tc7 328 11 10 28.2k 273 .

Aug 01 Show me your terminal prompt, want something more minimal than what I've been using for the last 10 years and could use some inspiration ✨ https://t.co/3QXZ32JyTF 299 6 143 99.6k 162 .
Aug 01 Seriously, I get the "I don't want to get dumber by having AI do everything" fear, but if you pay close attention during your day, like 50-90% of the stuff you do is this sort of bullshit, not real work. Use AI to make it 5%, and spend 95% on interesting, skill-building work. 561 34 45 48k 277 .
Aug 01 Another perfect example of a super boring tedious task that would've taken me 30 minutes that an agent can do for me perfectly in 3 minutes while I do something else. https://t.co/d6QC4Itl1U 175 4 8 62.1k 190 .
