New entry-level AMD 340 from @FrameworkPuter is solid! Single-core Zen5 matches the HX370 (2,900 Geekbench, so close to Apple M3). Only compromise is a 25-30% hit on multicore (12K GB, also ~M3) over HX370, so HEY tests run in 2m55s v 2m5s. But it's $630 cheaper! ~$1,300 all-in.

Once you do, you'll realize that one person's "linux bs" is your fun adventure learning more about Linux and how computers actually work. I guarantee you that this is not time wasted. The entire internet runs on Linux! You'd do well to study.

This is backwards. It's my draw to ambitious computer quests that yielded the out-sized returns that paid for that office. I highly recommend developing a taste and a tolerance for "computer bs" if you dream of making something of yourself in technology.

We now have over 2,000 people nerding out together over Omarchy, Omakub, Beelinks, and Frameworks in the Omacom Discord. If you're curious about THE NEW LINUX WAVE, you should come join us. Rarely met a more friendly, helpful bunch of computer geeks! https://t.co/AgsWlLFtm3

For the last few Beelinks I've used, I don't even bother to boot the bundled Windows. Just plug in that Omarchy USB stick and marvel at how quickly you can get a fully productive system going. And we are going to make that even faster when we do the full ISO!

If you keep promoting good ideas and good ideals, they'll eventually spread. We've been planting these seeds of persuasion for a quarter of a century. Now we bask in the shade of fully grown and mature conversions. https://t.co/crgRm20TFL

Linux marketing plan: Just show people how good and beautiful it can be. Dazzle them with rice, lure them with the TUIs, and then release the FOMO with an affordable call to action π

I think the road to that dead end is finally being retraced, but its path might take as long to unwind as it did to pave. A western version of the one-child policy. It's hard to reprogram culture. But reprogram we must. Grind>family is not virtuous.

Parenthood gives you a stake in your local surroundings that's load-bearing for maintaining civilization. I don't think it's a coincidence that SF became San Fransicko after decades of VC culture propagandized the family-later-but-grind-first ethos for startups.

While Europeans love to fret about the state of the American democracy, their states pursue free speech with ever-increasing authoritarian zeal, and by any means necessary. Disgraceful.

We moved to Linux as the default for new dev hires at 37signals a while back. Our setup flow complexity collapsed. It's just so much easier to automate everything on top of Linux than on Mac. And for our work, Linux is also just way faster since we use Docker for DBs etc.

Love to see so many @Beelinkofficial computers being bought for Omarchy! It's a great match: Superb performance at an excellent price running a free and fast Linux setup. Hard to beat the SER8 in the $500 category!

Now we send anyone with a failed install directly to the Omarchy Discord, so the community can help diagnose, fix, and quickly usher out a new release. Rarely seen such an extremely help gang of Linux enthusiasts excited about others joining the party! https://t.co/AgsWlLFtm3

If you tried installing Omarchy in the last few hours, you might have gotten an error preventing you from proceeding. My bad for merging a "simple fix" without verifying end-to-end installation π. This is now sorted! https://t.co/afwd3DQNoK
